PRP Therapy

Platelet rich plasma therapy are autologous (cells that come from your horse) blood products that have the potential to speed up the healing of tendon injuries, and also treat osteoarthritis. With soft tissue injuries, it helps to lay down the correct cellular matrix to stimulate proper tissue healing. Treatment of osteoarthritis is achieved by increasing the synovial cells (the cells in the joint) synthesis of hyaluronic acid, and long term human studies show a reduction in joint pain.

IRAP Therapy

Interleukin-1 Receptor Antagonist Protein Therapy is used to treat osteoarthritis (OA) and degenerative joint disease (DJD). IRAP is created from the horse’s owner blood over a 24hr incubation period. IRAP works within a joint using the body’s own inflammatory mediators to stop inflammation and the breakdown of cartilage within the joint to slow the progression of OA.
